1. We will pick you up from your hotel, airport, or any desired location.
2. We will enjoy a complete guided walking tour around the Basilica of Guadalupe Shrine, visiting all of its most important landmarks, including:
• Old Basilica:
The original basilica, a place of worship since 1709. This beautiful Baroque church housed the Tilma of Saint Juan Diego (the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe) for more than 300 years.
• New Basilica:
Inaugurated in 1976, this modern basilica houses the original image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and can accommodate up to 10,000 visitors.
• Old Indigenous Parish:
The first church built within the Basilica complex, originally intended for the indigenous population and located on the site where Juan Diego's home once stood.
• Capuchin Mothers Parish:
Originally built for the Capuchin nuns, this historic church has served many purposes over the centuries and today hosts masses for various religious communities.
• Pozito Chapel:
One of the most unique chapels in Mexico, featuring a completely circular interior and a fascinating history.
• Cerrito Chapel:
The traditional site of the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Here you will enjoy spectacular views of Mexico City and have the opportunity to light a candle and pray for your loved ones.
• The Offering Monument:
Admire the impressive monument depicting the Virgin of Guadalupe receiving offerings from the indigenous people, surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and springs.
• The Carillon:
The newest building within the Basilica complex, showcasing important aspects of Mexican history and culture.
• Gardens:
Stroll through the beautiful gardens and green areas, where the group will also have access to the official Basilica Gift Shop. You may choose to browse or purchase religious souvenirs, and if desired, items can be blessed by a priest before leaving. This stop is included but optional.
• Prayer Time:
During the tour, you will have the chance to light a candle, spend a small time in personal prayer, or quietly reflect if you request it to our guide.
Optional Add-on:
It's possible to add extra time to presence a complete mass in any of the churches, this add-on has an extra cost of $500 MXN.
3. After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel or any desired location.
Tour Duration:
• The guided visit of the Basilica complex lasts approximately 2 hours.
• Depending on the group's pace, the tour may be shorter if the group walks at a faster pace, or extend up to a maximum of 2.5 hours
if anyone requires a slower walking speed.
• Our priority is to visit all the sites included in the itinerary
while allowing everyone to enjoy the experience comfortably.
• The visit to the Basilica Gift Shop is included in the tour time (30 minute limit), but it is optional and can be skipped if the group prefers not to stop there.
• If transportation is included, the total experience may take up to 4.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions and your pickup/drop-off location.
• A $350 MXN transportation surcharge applies for pickups or drop-offs in Pedregal, Santa Fe, or the far south of Mexico City.
